A Short Documentary about Luang Ta Chi: Scholar, Teacher, and Guide

Phra RajaMongkolrangrsi (also known as Luang Ta Chi) was born on June 9th, 1925 (year 2468 of the Buddhist era). He was named on the occasion of his Majesty the King’s Birthday December 5ht, 2014. In June 2024 there there is/was a celebration of his commitment to scholarship, service and spirituality as part of a gathering of community members, local leaders and over 220 visiting monks from all across North America. This project supports the production of a short documentary (8–12 minutes) to honor his life and create a film that allows a viewer to feel an emotional, spiritual  and intellectual connection to his life and his teachings. The film uses captions from his writing selected during production workshops with the Wat Thai DC community and input from Luang Ta Chi.  There will be an instructional guide with additional information about his life and meditation based on his teachings.
